Challenge and Solutions
We all know that members can be wary of vegetation management operations. We’ve heard it all – from members who misunderstand how vegetation management keeps them safe and their electricity up and running to those who simply wish the programs and schedules were better communicated and others who are flat-out rude to crews.
Our job is to educate and inform members on how vegetation management keeps their lights on, safely. We use a multi-platform approach — including a strategic content calendar, social media, emails, web content, door hangers, print ads, PR, and more to get members on board with vegetation management.
Results
Our multifaceted vegetation management education programs have alleviated members’ anxieties, giving several co-ops the social license to operate with ease. We recently helped YVEA create a robust library of content that helps answer community questions about their vegetation management program. This content strategy has proven to not only make their members more open to having vegetation management crews on their property, it has also reduced the hours YVEA team members spend answering phones and addressing these questions individually.
